Benjamin Magro is a working Maine photographer with several decades of experience.  Born in Ohio in 1952, he moved to Maine in the early 70s and began working as a photographer at a weekly newspaper in Camden Maine.  Since that time he has worked for many clients and publications while operating a studio, first in Camden and later in Belfast Maine.

His photographs have been published in many state and national publications including The Chicago Tribune, The Christian Science Monitor, The New York Times Sunday Supplement, Horticulture, Yankee, National Geographic Traveler, and Down East Magazine. He is a regular contributing photographer for Down East Magazine since 1984.

In addition to editorial assignments Ben produces many commercial photographs for clients throughout Maine and New England.

Ben is currently living in Appleton Maine and working on various editorial and commercial assignments.
