It is interesting what has happened to the landscape of commercial and editorial photography in the last 6 years. In many of the same ways that people jobs have been replaced by automation in the auto industry, the small bread and butter commercial photography jobs have disappeared. With the maturing of “The Digital Revolution” non professional photographers can now create professional like images through Photoshop and applications available on line.

But one thing has never changed, the eye. When you hire a photographer, look at their images over time and hire them for what they see and how they compose it. Aside from the execution and the on time/budget delivery of the job, that is what you are really paying for.
